The GCE 'O' Level Exam is conducted in Singapore annually. This nationwide examin is administered by the University of Cambridge, UK, jointly with the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and the GCE 'O' Level certificate is recognized internationally.

This standard examin is an internationally accepted means of assessing ability for entry into tertiary institutes like Junior Colleges, Polytechnics or Universities abroad.

WHY IS PREPARATION NECESSARY?
The standard of the GCE 'O' Level Examination is high. Local students undergo four years of secondary school education before taking this examin. In addition to its demanding content, foreign students may have to overcome a language barrier as the examin (except language papers) is in English.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Duration: 12 months
Monday to Friday, 6 hours a day

6 subjects (depending on class availability)
Students may choose from:

• English
• Chinese
• Science (Physics/Chemistry)
• Mathematics
• Additional Mathematics
• Principles of Accounts
• Combined Humanities

ENTRY RQUIREMENTS

• Local students may sign up for this program if they intend to re-take the examin as private candidates.
• Foreign students must satisfy the minimum age requirement of 15 on 1st January of the examination year. They should have completed at least a Secondary 3 equivalent in their home country.
• English Proficiency: SHINES English Intermediate Level

ENTRY RQUIREMENTS

1. GCE 'O' Level Preparation Program: Monthly Enrolment
   The examination is held from October to December each year
   
2. Students must register for the examination in March the same year.
