CaseTrust for
Education SHINES Education Centre has been awarded the CaseTrust for Education by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE). The scheme has been customized specifically by CASE for the education industry in Singapore. This ensures that the PEOs have fulfilled all the mandatory regulatory requirements that allow them to continue enrolling international students into their programs and courses. A PEO that achieves CaseTrust for Education is certified as an organization that possesses the foundation for good quality student welfare/protection practices and standards. The PEO will have the following mechanisms in place:

All prospective students (both local
and international) will enter into a Standard Student Contract
with our school upon confirmation of enrolment into the respective courses.
Standard Contract
Withdrawal for Cause: The Student shall be entitled to immediately withdraw from the Course by giving written notice to SHINES of his/her intention to do so under the following circumstances:
Refunds for Withdrawal for Cause: SHINES shall, as soon as possible after receiving a Student's Notice of Withdrawal for Cause under the above circumstances (and in any event no more than fourteen (14) days after receiving such notice) refund to the Student:
Withdrawal Without Cause and Refunds: Where the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those set out in the policy for Withdrawal for Cause above, SHINES shall, as soon as possible after receiving the Student's written notice of withdrawal (and in any event no more than fourteen (14) working days after receiving such notice) refund to the Student the following amount (less any applicable bank administrative charges properly paid/payable under the Student Protection Scheme):

In the event that a student and SHINES are unable to resolve
the dispute in accordance with the grievance procedure above,
the student and SHINES will refer the dispute to the CASE Mediation
Centre for mediation prior to instituting any legal action or
proceedings. |
